Purchased new by Mr. Cantrell of Blue Lake California in 1948. He immediately put on the Manley Wrecking Crane and went to work pulling vehicles out of the woods from remote timber sites. At 25 years old Mr Cantrell went to work in the harsh climate of the mountains of northern California (Humboldt County) At 93 years old his memory is fading but he recalls up grading in 1958 and parking the F2 in the barn where she sat for decades. In 2006 he sold the wrecker to his good friend and car guy in Redding California. The truck was ran sparingly helping with projects around the ranch. This great piece of Ford History will be sold with the original registration card. She fires up easy runs and drives but needs brake work and the floors are rotted out. The wrecking crane still operates but the original pickup bed comes with the truck. International buyers are welcome to join the fun.
**Update: The Manly wrecker has been removed and sold to an antique collector. This truck is now being fitted with the original pick up bed and pictures will be updated soon. Thank you for looking at our listing.
