For sale in our Indianapolis showroom is a 1962 Chevrolet Impala with some very nice upgrades. The year was 1962 and the very first Wal-Mart store was opening in Arkansas as 21-year old Bob Dylan was premiering his song "A hard rain's a-gonna fall" and this Impala was being introduced to spectators everywhere. This was Chevrolet's 3rd generation for the Impala which lasted between the years of 1961-64. The body lines held their own amongst the plethora of cars unassumingly being built for our classic car future. This Impala is coated in a charcoal paint with a red accent strip which pairs well with the luxurious red vinyl interior. The red interior is laced with countless amounts of eye appealing goodies such as the chrome seat frames and chrome Impala emblems; the one between the rear seats really makes the interior. Under the hood you will find a 327 CID V8 engine backed by a 700R4 automatic transmission. Both were rebuilt just over 7000 miles ago at which time the odometer was also reset. Having the 700R4 allows you to enjoy this classic both around town and on the interstate for the long road trips. The adventure is waiting. Front disc brakes were added for safety and dual exhaust pipes were added for that classic car rumble. Options include: AM radio, Power Steering, Power Brakes, Vinyl Interior, Seat Belts, and White Wall Radial Tires. To view this car in greater detail, including an HD video of the Impala running and driving, please visit www.gatewayclassiccars.com or our Indianapolis showroom. Call 317-688-1100 for more details.
