GR Auto Gallery is pleased to present this 1967 Chevrolet Corvette
for purchase. The Corvette launched its 2nd generation with the
birth of the Stingray with a complete redesign barely resembling
its predecessors. The Stingray was lighter, had independent
suspension, and was aerodynamically tested. The only American cars
that could produce similar speed were large, heavy Super Stock
optioned Mopars and Super Duty Pontiacs. For the first time, the
United States had mass produced a true all-around sports car.
General Motors really went for it with the C2 stingrays never more
evident than the big block 427 engines offered in the last couple
years. In 1967, the JE suffix engine was a beast of an offering. It
was a 427ci V8 rated 435 hp with three 2-barrel carburetors. With
the smooth-shifting 4-speed manual transmission, these engines gave
the driver an experience nearly unmatched by any activity with your
clothes on.
This '67 Corvette in Marina Blue is a near #1 stunner. This car's
condition is nearly unmatched by any Corvette we have ever featured
here before. The paint is incredible with a beautiful fit and
finish. This car is powered by what the owner states as the JE
suffix 427/435 V8 engine and 4-speed manual transmission. Original
Cast Iron Heads will come with the car. There are stamped numbers
that are open to your inspection. The car also features black
leather seats, working clock, upgraded aluminum heads, Boyd
Cottington wheels, black stinger hood, blue streak tires, rear
mount antenna, and more! This car spent nearly four years at the
Gilmore Car Museum as part of their muscle display, and has won
many trophies at numerous shows. Come see for yourself what all the
fuss is about as the car will not disappoint. Of course, let's not
mention how much fun it is to drive one of the most powerful
factory cars America has ever produced. Please call or email for
more details!
