1968 1/2 GT 428 COBRA JET FASTBACK, restored to Concours condition as this a true ‘Double R Code’, the high point of rare production being a San Jose (R) produced with the 428-4v Cobra Jet engine (R) that is fully documented as such, full dated engine and head parts that are correct, matching dates and castings that are shown in this report many, many rare dated NOS Ford parts used in this build to achieve being displayed in the Shelby Museum, has a history with statement from a previous top end expert and appraiser who stated “this is the finest example seen…Concours restored from a rust-free San Jose built original CJ with a 15 year collection of NOS parts, with mileage at a very low of only 40,454, this GT Mustang can no longer be duplicated”, this is presented with a totally gorgeous, straight panels and rust-free exterior, this was produced in the most collectible color of Wimbledon White, really a concours quality repaint of the original Ford Wimbledon White (M code) with correct gloss Black hood stripe and ultra rare NOS hood scoop and black ‘C’ side stripes, all sheet metal is 100% original, original Ford bumpers have been rechromed, all the stainless windshield trim has been polished, all the exterior bolt-on items are NOS including the Carlite vent-wings, very rare GT gas cap, taillight assemblies, stainless rolled exhaust tips, back-up lights, door handles, side marker lights and the complete GT grille assembly with fog lights, all bolt-on molding and trim is factory NOS, the glass is all mint condition, wheels are proper Chrome GT rims with NOS trim rings and hubcaps with new correct repro Goodyear Polyglas tires mounted, see www.fraserdante.com for further information and full inventory
