GR Auto Gallery is pleased to present this 1974 Chevrolet Corvette for purchase. The C3 generation of Corvettes ran from 1968 to 1982, but had some various changes throughout the run of the Stingray. With gov't restrictions killing off muscle cars the stingray had to transition to more of a cruiser. A Chevrolet advertisement headlined: "We gave it radials, a quieter ride, guard beams and a nose job." Improvements to body mounts and interior did improve the Corvette's ride and interior noise was reduced by 40%. Today, C3 Corvettes are some of the best buys in the classic automobile world. These cars were incredibly popular and provide a great ride with plenty of available spare parts. Get behind the wheel and have some classic fun in a Stingray!
This '74 Corvette Convertible in Black with Red interior is an eye-catching example of the stingray legends. This car was used sparingly out of a collection in Manhattan, New York for most of its life. This car is powered by the L82 350 V8 engine paired with the 4-speed manual transmission. Both the engine and the manual transmission are highly sought after collectors. Car and Driver even stated at the time, "...when it comes to making a choice, the L82 is the engine we prefer. Duntov and the other Corvette engineers gravitate toward the big blocks because they like the torque. And granted, the 454s will squirt through traffic with just a feather touch on the gas pedal. But, to us at least, the small block engine contributes to a fine sense of balance in the Corvette that is rare in any GT car, so rare that it would be a shame to exchange it for a few lb.-ft. of torque." This car was recently gone through with fresh maintenance to the mechanicals, a professional repaint, new leather seats, and more. This car is an original AC car also featuring a convertible soft top, removable factory hard top, side exhaust pipes, and more! This is a really fun car to drive with plenty of power, desirable engine & transmission for collectors, and an awesome open-air summer toy! Please call or email for more details!
