Lincoln Continental is a model name for a luxury car sold by the
Lincoln division of Ford Motor Company. The Continental is a
Lincoln nameplate that has seen use in a sub-division, the
short-lived Continental Division of 1956-1957. As a Lincoln, the
Continental nameplate saw use for 49 years, from 1939 to 1948
(skipping World War II) ,1958 to 2002 (skipping 1981, then
2003-2015). Serving as the Lincoln flagship for its first three
generations, the Continental name conveyed special cachet in the
product line. In the 1961 redesign of the Lincoln line, the
three-model line was consolidated down to the Continental, which
served as the sole Lincoln sedan for the next 16 years. With the
exception of the Lincoln Mark VIII, all versions of the Lincoln
Mark Series of the personal luxury cars are based on a
corresponding generation of the Continental. Lincoln has
successfully been Ford's brand of luxury since 1922. The
Continental was the full-size luxury offering from Lincoln. While
often sharing its platform and inner workings with Ford, the
Continental always had different body work and known for extensive
luxury options rarely seen elsewhere, if seen at all. In 1977,
during the 5th generation of the line the Lincoln Continental lived
up to its name as it was the largest mass-produced vehicle made
that wasn't a limousine.
GR Auto Gallery is pleased to present this sharp 1974 Lincoln
Continental Town Car Coupe for purchase. According to the owner,
this Continental spent a long 15+ years in California, and another
15+ years in North Carolina. The current owner has owned this

ownership. It has great curb appeal in its Silver exterior color
and it is powered by the powerful 460ci V8 engine and 3-speed
automatic transmission that work together flawlessly. The gold

throughout. It features power windows, power steering, power
windows, power locks, original radio, and original 15 inch wheels
wrapped in Optimo P35/75R15 tires with a good amount of tread left,
