This REO has been on display in our museum for years and is ready for complete restoration. It’s history, including restoration and modifications, is unknown. All description is based entirely on visual inspection. It is mostly complete and original, although it appears to have been restored at least once and some modifications are evident. Some parts that were replaced in past restorations may not have been authentic and some parts are missing. It appears the car might have been lengthened, perhaps to give the driver and passenger more room.
The exterior paint has protected the body well and the wood appears in good condition. The fenders are damaged in places. The seat is complete but the leather is worn, torn and a piece is missing.
The mechanical components look complete and the engine turns freely. It appears the wiring has been repaired and modified over the years. The coil appears to be from a Model T. There has been no attempt made to start the engine. The tires are very old and will need replacement, rollers under wheels are not included.
