Many of us have had a Tri-Five Chevy take us back in time. However,
this '56 BelAir 2-door Hardtop is really a different breed.
Originally a California car, this stunning Chevy was the
beneficiary of a comprehensive 2-1/2 year rotisserie restoration.
This is a true 'Trailer Queen', a show-car that has never seen the
rain or slept outside. The all-original sheet metal was stripped,
skimmed and massaged by Little Designs, Lancaster CA. Next came the
application of a near flawless coat of Turquoise and White, along
with subtle ghost flames. The rumble under the hood is a 383ci
Stroker crate motor - music to one's ears. Everything is top-shelf:
Edelbrock intake, Holley 770 Street Avenger carb, ceramic headers,
electronic ignition and Mattson cross-flow radiator. Producing 425
horsepower, the engine is backed by a 700R automatic w/shift kit
and high-stall speed converter w/lock-in. The Currie Enterprises 9"
rear-end holds a Detroit TrueTrac differential fitted with 3.89:1
gears. A spotless chassis, finished and powder coated to
perfection, supports a suspension augmented in front with Heidt's
2" lowered stainless tubular control arms and traction bars out
back. Modern power steering and 4-wheel power brakes with 12"
drilled rotors and Wilwood calipers complete the package. Classic
American Racing Torq-Thrust wheels mount 17" BRG g-Force ZR
radials. The only thing that rivals the exterior of this BelAir is
the interior. Ron Mangus Interiors, a leader in west coast interior
restoration, used high-grade plush leather perfectly dyed to match
the Turquoise exterior. Seats, door panels, headliner and even the
trunk are finished in leather. An Ididit column sports a custom
wheel and Vintage Air handles cooling requirements. The Alpine
CD/XM stereo manages a Memphis Audio sound system. From the
driver's seat, it all just seems '56 right. Unlike the common
Tri-Five restoration, this hardtop is one-of-one. Look at the
photos, look at the trophies - that's a lot of hardware. This award
winning BelAir belongs in your Tri-Five collection. Please call
800-650-1055, or visit us at www.autobarnclassiccars.com for
additional information. ALL VEHICLES SOLD "AS IS".
