Vehicle Description
This 1967 GT 40 has much history with the original ones that won
the 24 Hours of LeMans in the Late 60's. This Cars owner was a Ford
Chassis engineer that worked at Kar Kraft in the late 60's and
worked with renowned automotive designer Eric Broadley of Lola
Cars. He also worked with John Wyer( Head Engineer) and John
Horsman(Asst. Engineer) that were part of the winning teams that
help FORD beat Ferrari in the late 60's. This GT40 is as close to
the real cars of the late 60's as you will find without paying a 7
figure price for it. Its presented in Rossa Corsa Red with race set
up interior. The engine is a 5.4 liter SVO Ford small block. It has
a crower stroker crank and rods;forged pistons;dart heads with
2.02/ 1.60 stainless valves; Roller 1:60 to 1 rocker arms;
'Bundle-of-Snakes' exhaust system; Holley single-runner intake
manifold. The engine has a 0.520 lift cam with 230 degree duration.
The carburetor is a Holley 4150 double-pump 650 cfm set up ford
road racing with center-pivot fleats. It has an estimated
horsepower rating of 400 hp@600rpms. The 7 quart Canton oil pan
keeps the liquid flowing through the engine along with a crankcase
breather system that has dual oil coolers with a rear fan. The
Transaxle is an original ZF 5D5-25/2 5 speed with a fresh rebuild
and new gears. The Tires are AVON WRX 215/60HR15 on the front and
295/50R 15 on the rear mounted on Pin-Drive Trigo-Halibrand rims
with knock-offs. The Air-Condition system will keep you cool as you
drive it on the road courses from Lime Rock to Road Atlanta. This
GT40 has had plenty of track time and it has handle the curves with
ease and the straights WIDE OPEN! This GT has been VERY
