This vehicle is being sold as Lot No. S123.1. - 3.5/108 HP inline 6-cylinder engine - Began life as a steel bodied Saloon, converted to a Woody in the 1950s by Robert Leadbitter - Restored in the 1990s by Alastair Duncan and Stuart McCallum of the Wolseley Registry - Woodwork was restored by Ronnie Leadbitter, son of original builder - First series III chassis to roll off the production line - Roughly 2500 series IIIs were produced by Wolseley between 1937-39 and then 1946-48 after the end of World War II - 57 cars known to exist across all bodystyles including saloons, limousines and drophead coupes - Only known Woody Super Six series III in existence
