All vehicle trades considered, including classics and performance.
There's no mistaking an early 70's Chevelle. With menacing lines and outrageous drivetrains, they represent the end of the muscle car era. As such they continue to be one of the most desirable and exciting such cars to own, as demonstrated by this 1972 SS with its great color combination, ZZ4 motor, Vintage Air, and more.
Originally a blue/blue car, this one was recently repainted black with red stripes. This really is a nice color combination that stands out from other Chevelles. The car has spent time in Arizona and Kansas, contributing to a rust-free underside. The windows have a dark tint to keep the interior cool (easily removed if desired). Bumpers and moldings are all in great condition, as are the 17" aluminum wheels.
This Chevelle's original 350ci engine has been replaced with a modern ZZ4 crate motor. This is great setup featuring a 4-bolt main block, aluminum heads, roller cam, and street-friendly 10:1 compression ratio. It makes as much power and torque as the LS5 454ci big block of the day, but with less weight and better fuel efficiency. Other features under the hood include a Holley 4v carburetor, electronic ignition, serpentine belt drive, and large aluminum radiator.
The balance of the driveline is very robust, consisting of a TH400 automatic transmission and 12-bolt rear end. Note the F41 suspension with boxed control arms. There is also power steering and power front disc brakes for easy driving. The dual exhaust uses headers, and h-pipe, and Smithy's glasspacks for a classic sound.
The black interior has also been redone. It features new Procar bucket seats along with modern style 3-point seat belts. The carpeting, door panels, and headliner were also replaced. There is also a modern tilt steering column from Ididit. The SS dash with has also been redone and features a tachometer and working clock. There is also a new Kenwood AM/FM/CD/Bluetooth stereo. And not to be missed is new the Vintage Air HVAC setup; it's always nice to have air conditioning on those hot summer nights, not to mention a functional heater and defroster.
I don't know if there's anything that screams "muscle car" more than a Chevelle SS. And while this car has all the looks and sound for the part, it is also a fun and comfortable car to drive, complete and ready to go when you are.
