beyond that all the surrounding wood trim has been refreshed for a
stellar presentation. All your gauges work as well as the AM radio
and even the heater. So the nice presentation even gets the details
right, too.
The engine bay looks authentic right down to the oil bath air
cleaner that still has the correct Chrysler sticker. It has the
kind of period-correct appearance that people love to see, so it
will be up to you to share its secret. While Plymouth was famous
for their inline-six cylinder motor, this one has the larger 230
cubic-inch unit that didn't come until the mid-1950s. This means a
14% boost in power, and you're in complete control of it thanks to
the column mounted three-speed transmission. We are still not
suggesting that this classic is a hot rod, but that extra hit of
power combined with Plymouth's legendary smooth ride makes for one
worthy weekend machine.
