Vehicle Description
This Belvedere has had the same owner since 1992. Originally a 6-cylinder, it had a HEMI conversion in 2005. The engine was built using a sonic-tested Chrysler Siamese cast-iron block. This 528ci motor dyno-tested at 696hp at 3,500 rpm. The engine is assembled with a forged Eagle crankshaft, Manley H-beams, aluminum Stage V heads with stainless roller and Smith Bros. push rods. The intake is Mopar Performance Cross Ram with 770 Holley carburetors and the headers are TTI. It's equipped with a Mopar 727 automatic transmission prepped by SMR with Mega Torque upgrade, bringing the TorqueFlight into the 21st century exclusively for big block and HEMI Mopars. The transmission is accompanied by a carbon-fiber driveshaft connecting to 8-3/4 with 4.10 gears. In 2004, it was finished in White Gold in 2004. The engine was not built for the race track, rather for the look; at 10:1 compression, it runs on pump gas.
