For Sale at Auction: 1955 Chevrolet Nomad in Scottsdale, Arizona

Lot #1055 - This Nomad is an Arizona/Texas car. Purchased in Austin, TX, in 2008, it underwent a total frame-off rotisserie restoration that was completed in 2012. Every nut, bolt and screw has been replaced. The car was stripped down, body-dipped and media-blasted. The chassis is a seamless frame with CPP tubular control arms top and bottom on the front end and Helwig sway bars. Stopping is provided by 4-wheel CPP disc brakes. It has CPP 5000 series power steering box with all new steering components. It's powered by a GM crate ZZ 383/425hp stroker high-performance engine with documentation mated to a 700R4 automatic transmission and 355 rear end with a Flowmaster exhaust system. It also has a March polished serpentine belt and pulley system, chrome Edelbrock intake manifold with chrome 650 cfm Edelbrock Thunder series carburetor, chrome covers, ceramic-coated Patriot headers and braided lines. It has a polished all-aluminum AutoRad radiator and saddle. The exterior features a two-tone finish in GM Merlot Jewel Pearl and Driftwood Metallic Bronze. The body has been undercoated, all stainless pieces have been bright-polished to new and every piece of chrome either rechromed to new or replaced. All the glass, except for the two curved rear panels, has been replaced, and all is tinted. The lift gate was recurved. The interior features sound deadener throughout, new carpet, four bucket seats with electric recline, two-tone leather (including door panels and rear storage area), full-leather front-to-back console and full-suede headliner with chrome beauty bars. A brand-new harness by American Autowire powers Classic Instruments gauges, Vintage Air and Pioneer sound system with satellite radio. It also has a Lecarra leather-wrapped steering wheel on an Ididit steering column, power windows, red-arrow mirrors, LED taillights, LED daytime running lights and Raingear wiper system. Toyo Proxy ST 11 tires all around.
