Vehicle Description
Pontiac, bless its beak-nosed heart, turned out some truly unusual cars in 1969, an unforeseen consequence of General Motors' crushingly expensive, inefficient car-for-everyone optioning strategy. Not all of them were GTOs, either. Some of the strangeness extended to Pontiac's still-novel personal-luxury coupe, the Grand Prix. For the 1969 model year, the famous John Z. DeLorean, Pontiac's general manager at the time, ordered the development of an all-new Grand Prix based on a slightly stretched version of the intermediate GM A platform, which was dubbed the G-body. The new 1969 Grand Prix was big no matter how you measured. With a new 118-inch wheelbase, the Grand Prix was large and in charge.
GR Auto Gallery is pleased this low Southern driven miles, and according to the owner original and numbers matching 1969 Pontiac Grand Prix. Starting with the original and still in fantastic shape Antique Gold paint with a Black Cordova top. The paint finish is excellent, does not appear to be any rust or physical damage, the wheel moldings and bezels just have any visible defects. The engine in the car appears to be the original numbers matching 400ci 6.6L 4V V8, pumping around 350hp. The car is equipped with easy turning power steering, power front brakes with 3-speed automatic transmission, air conditioning, and cruise control. Inside the car, the instrument panel is in very good condition with doesn't appear to have any visible rips, tears, or splits. While the seats are trimmed in the original Parchment vinyl and are in the same great condition as the panel with no visible rips, or tears. The only upgraded parts to this Grand Prix are a long branch Pontiac exhaust manifolds with a 2 ½'' exhaust. As well as the owner add the Pontiac hood exhaust that the Grand Prix was widely seen with.
