Just Toys Classic Cars is proud to present this beautiful 1968
Chevrolet Chevelle SS 396 Convertible. This is a rare car with only
a little over 2200 made and the special thing about this car is
that it is an original 4 speed on the floor. As we have said with
all of the other Chevelle's that we have had in the past, that the
lines of these cars are very special. You just know a Chevelle when
you see it from a distance. This car has had a body on restoration
with in the last 5 years or so and as you will see in all the pics
this car is as clean as a pin. The butternut Yellow paint is miles
deep on this car and you will see that there is no rust in the door
jams or anything.
The black interior was redone very well on this car. You just slide in and relax. It is very comfortable. As you look at all the gauges you will see the rolling tach in the center of the gauge cluster. Everything works like it should and is easy to read and easy to reach. The wood wheel is also a nice addition to the interior. A little bit more of a modern radio was installed in the car, but they resisted the temptation to cut a big hole and put a brand new radio in there.
Now, under the hood is where things get interesting. This is an all original numbers matching 396, 4 speed car. These types of Chevelles are getting harder and harder to find. There is plenty of power in this motor and the clutch is right and tight for you to bang the gears in that 4 speed all day and night long. These cars were feared in the Saturday night stop light brigade when the person in the lane next to you saw that 396 on your fender.
