Vehicle Description
1966 Ford F100 Pickup
If you always loved the old pickups but wanted a little more
performance out of them then look no further. This very clean 1966
Ford F100 is a great looking pickup that has undergone a full body
off restoration with some very nice upgrades. It is a 3 owner truck
that was originally purchased in Benton County, Arkansas and hasn't
left since. During the restoration process the frame was painted in
a Black gloss enamel and the body in Porsche Red. The paint is only
2 years old and still has a fresh shine. The original grill and
light bezels are found up front and are in great condition. The
chrome front and rear bumpers have been replaced and have a great
finish. The original style stainless trim runs down each side and
has a nice finish as well. The car is pictured with aftermarket
wheels but it has been converted back to original factory wheels
with Ford dogdish hubcaps for that classic look.
Powering the truck is a 460 V8 which gives you a lot more cubic
inches than they had stock. It puts out a lot of power and runs
well. Plus, you Ford purists should have a big smile on your face
because it is a Ford motor vs the standard 350 Chevy upgrade that
has become so common. The motor has been fitted with a chrome
circle air cleaner and the valve covers painted in that classic
Ford Blue. It has a nice rumble that is provided by the dual 2.5
inch glasspacks routed out of the rear. Paired with the motor is a
smooth shifting C6 automatic transmission. The truck has been
upgraded with power disc brakes up front and power steering so
driving it is extremely comfortable. It has new coil springs in
front/rear with new shocks for a smooth ride and you will find the
gas tank mounted in the rear between the frame. This is a very nice
feature because these tanks were typically located in the cabs and
notorious for emitting that gasoline smell when running down the
road.
The interior is done in Red and features a bench seat, black
carpeting, and a black headliner. The dash is painted to match the
body and is topped off with the factory gauges, knobs and switches.
The original steering wheel sits in front of the driver and it
along with the steering column were repainted during the
restoration. A Hurst shifter has been added and is mounted to the
floor. The bed of the truck is nicely painted as well and in great
condition.
