The 6.0-liter LS2 V-8 generates 400 horsepower and 400 pounds-feet of torque --- that's an additional 50 hp and 40 lbs-ft more than it's predecessor, the LS1 engine. It was, at the time, the most powerful standard engine ever installed in a Corvette.
