GR Auto Gallery is excited to present this 1956 Chevrolet Bel Air Nomad for purchase. The 1955-57 Chevy's were revolutionary in many ways, and the Bel Air's were on the top of the line. In this 3 year run, the Nomad was born as technically a trim option on the Bel Air as one of two different station wagon offerings. The Nomad stood far apart from the Townsman as the highly sought after top of the line option with sloped pillars and sliding rear windows. Chevy wasn't sold on the bold styling so they produced both, and Harley Earl's dream car remains a special spot in collector's hearts with tons of curb appeal. They remain highly sought after collector's items as stock survivors and as restomods. After all, how much cooler can you possibly look cruising to the beach or picking the kids up from school?

This '56 Nomad is powered by a strong running 265ci V8 paired with a 2 speed automatic transmission. The Plum Dusk and India Ivory paint job is extremely well done and the vast amounts of chrome on this wagon are in like new condition, on what appears to be a rust free body. As you can see from the pictures, the frame and entire underbody is clean as can be. This Nomad was cared for like a baby since day one. Similar to the exterior, the Interior of this Nomad is in wonderful condition, the seats are in like new condition and appear to be free of any rips or holes.
