Vehicle Description
Being offered for sale is a very nice, mechanically sound, Horizon Blue, with Black interior, 1960 (NOM) 283/195hp 4-Speed Corvette roadster. The seller has owned the car since January 2006 and throughout his ownership has spared no expense in having all repairs and maintenance work performed by a high quality Corvette restoration shop. This is a “turn key” classic Corvette needing nothing other then to be proudly driven and thoroughly enjoyed; it’s a “head turner” and a blast to drive.
The car received a complete professional body-off restoration from 1985 to 1987 by the previous owner, who had purchased the car in 1975, from the second owner. The work included a complete strip to fiberglass, gel coat and the application of multiple coats of the correct Acrylic 1960 Corvette Horizon Blue paint and clear coat. The frame was completely stripped, painted and re-assembled with all new hardware. Shocks and shock mounts were replaced. The engine was rebuilt to handle non leaded gas. All the stainless trim was polished and the front and rear bumpers were triple chrome plated. In 1988-92 the axle bearings were replaced and new brakes installed. This is a clearly a Corvette that has been well maintained and comes with restoration photos and lots of receipts.
The 1960 model is the last Corvette to have the classic Corvette styling cues of tail lamps molded into the rear fenders, the exhaust tips placed in the rear bumpers and the heavy grill teeth in front. If you’ve always wanted a classic Corvette, this 1960 Horizon Blue roadster should be given serious consideration. Here is the opportunity to join the wonderful world of classic Corvette ownership, without “breaking the bank”.
Offers in line with the asking price will be considered by buyers ready to make a purchase.
