This completely custom one off built 1955 Ford F100 Pick up is for sale in our Louisville KY showroom. The F series pickup was introduced in 1947 as the first truck created by Ford after the war. It would also be the first truck that was based on a dedicated truck chassis. All of this is irrelevant on this beauty given the many custom changes that have been done. Start with the exterior the custom red metallic is naturally a color not available on the 55 Fords but if it was I do believe the slogan would have been any color you like as long as its metallic red. The front end is completely different consisting of a Heidts Super ride front cross member with a power rack and pinion. A Currie Posi unit with 3.89 gears and Moser axles in a Ford 9 inch give you a near flawless rear end. These systems have been adapted to a Ridetech full Digital Air ride suspension set up with shock waves giving it one of the best ride control systems available. Under the tilt hood is a 5.3L drive by wire LS engine that is guaranteed to get the heart pumping. Hooked up to a freshly rebuilt 4l60 transmission gives this beauty the ability to cruise down the highway and get over 25 MPG. All of this is managed through a Current Performance LS wiring harness allowing for the use if the Dakota digital VHX gauges which are some of the nicest and accurate gauges on the market today. Bringing everything to a quick stop is a 4 wheel Wilwood disc brake setup that is functional and looks absolutely amazing. The custom wood bed is another touch that will guarantee a ton of trophies this car show season. Open the door and the interior looks like something out of a 2015 and not a 1955 with leather covering both seats and the center console mounted shifter taking it to the next level. The custom center console mounted in the roof was the perfect finishing touches this one off custom needed.
