2006 Ford GT For Sale - Mark II Black, 5.4L Supercharged V8, Many Performance Upgrades LMC is very proud to offer for sale this 2006 Ford GT. Ford Motor Company has always been very open and proud of its heritage, perhaps more so than any other car manufacturer. Over the years they have produced some incredible cars designed specifically to pay homage to some of the amazing achievements of the past. One of the best examples would have to be the Ford GT, built to resemble and pay tribute to the incredible Ford GT40's of the 1960's that dominated every race series Ford chose to enter them in. Built for only two model years, 2005 and 2006. Receiving impressive reviews from critics, Ford was applauded for doing the name justice with a car that could not only compete with, but in many cases defeat competitors such as Ferrari, just like the original GT40 was made famous for. Finished in a sleek and intimidating Mark II Black of which only 292 were produced and far less in the solid black with no stripes. This 2006 Ford GT has drop dead looks that make people stop in their tracks. On top of the 5.4L All Aluminum Supercharged V8 with dry sump lubrication system, this GT has had the privilege of having several performance upgrades some of which include; a 3.4L Whipple Supercharger, throttle body, Ford short shifter, lowered springs, Heffner X Pipe, which all brings the horsepower from 550 to approximately 705 at the rear wheels. Even the half shaft bolts have also been changed and upgraded. The Ricardo 6-speed manual transmission solidifies the feeling that you are in one of the greatest sports cars ever built. The Brembo Vented Disc Brakes have red painted calipers while the interior is all leather trimmed with Carbon Fiber structure seats. It was purchased with the lightweight forged aluminum wheels. An aftermarket Console Compartment was also installed for added interior comfort. This well cared for and collector owned car, has had only two owners from new and had covered a little over 11,000 miles. Accompanying this GT is several documents including the original window sticker, dealership and factory stickers, and original manuals and books. The 2 nd generation of Ford GTs were just as impressive as the first generation and both accomplished exactly what they were intended for. The rarity and collectability of these cars is ever increasing due to the extremely limited production numbers and the third 3 rd generation being recently released. This GT is a beautiful example of the pinnacle of Ford Performance. This car, with one drive will change your views of the Ford GT all together. Thrilling would be an understatement.
