For Sale: 1971 Chevrolet C/K 10 in Fairmont City, Illinois

For sale at Gateway Classic Cars in our Houston showroom is a 1971 Chevrolet C10 Cheyenne short bed. These trucks just seem to becoming more popular everyday and this one being a Cheyenne with a short bed is the cream of the crop. The ground up restoration has just 60 miles since it was completed. It features the original 4 bolt main 350 that's been rebuilt. During the rebuild the block was bored.030 and stroked to 383, fitted with forged aluminum pistons replacing the heavy cast iron, a Crane Thumper cam for a great sound and added power, Edelbrock Torker intake manifold, Edelbrock carburetor with an electric choke, new long tube headers to let breath better, single chamber mufflers for a menacing sound, a new radiator and water pump to keep her running cool and of course all new hoses and belts. The list goes on. Inside you'll be keeping cool with a new A/C unit. Receiving the power form the built 350 is a TH400 automatic transmission. These Turbo 400s have been known for years as very stout transmissions. It features a B&M Junior shift kit for solid shifts. The restoration also included a new fuel tank and sending unit that it working great with the original gas gauge. For looks, the truck has been professionally lowered for a great muscle truck look. There are lower springs in the front and rear, new bushings, new KYB shocks and custom lowering blocks in the rear and lower spindles in the front. Slowing down is easy with an all new braking system including rotors, drums, pads and shoes, hoses and calipers. The body received a modern base coat/clear coat for a durable high gloss finish in a great shade of green. The truck was stripped down and taken apart for a proper paint job and it shows. This job is so much easier when you start with a solid truck and this truck was one of those. A two owner truck found in Georgia with no rust. Don't we wish that they were all like that? There's also new rubber weather stripping throughout and new glass front and rear with 15% tint. Well we're starting to run out of room. The list goes on and continues into the gray and black interior with new carpet, seat, dash pad, instrument cluster etc. Stop trying to save a buck by buying a truck that's close or only needs a few things redone.
