For Sale: 1964 Chevrolet Impala in Fairmont City, Illinois

Vehicle Description

Up for sale in our Tampa showroom is this stunning 1964 Chevrolet Impala SS Convertible. Powered by a 409 CID V8 that is backed by a 4 Speed manual transmission, making this car a blast to drive. In bright red paint and Silver interior this car is sure to get noticed. If that doesn’t do the trick, the 22” Forgiato 3 piece wheels certainly will! Not only is this Impala a stunner, it also has all the creature comforts you could ask for, like A/C, power steering, power brakes, vinyl interior, seat belts, radial tires, aluminum alloy wheels, tilt steering wheel, power convertible top, vacuum trunk release, column mounted tachometer, and more. Digital gauges have been very subtly added for oil pressure and water temperature. Power 4 wheel disc brakes have been added to bring this bad boy back to 0 after flying through the gears! Other upgrades include a Hurst shifter, Pertronix ignition and custom Chevy bowtie convertible top boot. This 1964 Impala SS convertible was frame off restored 1,987 miles ago and is as clean underneath as it is on top! You could eat off the bottom of this car. The 409 CID V8 engine has a QC suffix code which means it is a 1964 Chevrolet 409, rated at 340 horsepower and 420 lb. Feet of torque will really get this beauty moving. In 1964 very little changed in the Impala line. The new body style lead to a more rounded softer look. The big full size Impala line was once again being marketed as "Jet Smooth!" The roof line for 1964 was the same as it had been for 1963. In 1964 you could order a vinyl top option (RPO C08) on any solid exterior color sport coupe. Combined with the ribbed roofline styling this option made the sport coupe look very much like a convertible. The "SS" Impala continued to feature the engine-turned swirl pattern aluminum trim. The Impala four-door sedan remained the mainstay of the Impala line.1964 Impala production was 889,000 units with 185,523 of those being the Super Sport Impalas. It didn't happen often but the Impala or the Impala Super Sport could be ordered with the standard 6-cylinder engine. Located in our Tampa Showroom, this 1964 Impala SS convertible can be seen including HD pictures and videos at www.GatewayClassicCars.com.
