For Sale: 1957 Chevrolet Bel Air in O'Fallon, Illinois

Vehicle Description

Gateway Classic Cars of Tampa is proud to offer the most famous car to ever drive along the American roadway, the 1957 Chevrolet Bel Air. Known by multiple names, and called simply the "'57 Chevy", the Bel Air is a very iconic car for both collectors and daily drivers alike. With the beautiful curves from front to back, and the sensible style of the interior showing off a certain sense of style that was only possible from the 50's, this '57 Chevy is available now to be taken to a good home, and idolized as it was meant to be. This car here is a real showstopper since it's actually claiming original paint, and as recent paint tests show, this car has only 2 millimeters of original Laquer paint throughout. Showing that this car was taken care of, it only has very minimal etching is small areas. Matching the original paint is the original interior as well, though a little dirty from age, what makes this car so special is the fact that it is a true, documented survivor car. Minor upgrades were done to make it a more comfortable daily driver, though, but were done in a way that doesn't take away from the cars survivor appeal, such as the Retrosound digital radio, which looks identical to most factory radios of the 50's and 60's, as well as molded kick panels for new speakers put into the front. The convertible top is in extremely good shape, considering the age, and has no tears and actually shows extremely well on this car. The boot is brand new, however, but still kept the original color it was supposed to have, matching the interior pattern very well, this car looks even better with the top down than it does up! One of the sweetest features of this car, is the engine is the original 283 Chevy smallblock, featuring the original dual-quad intake, making this one of the rarest Chevy engines produced in these cars. When backed up with the standard 3-speed manual "3 on the Tree", this car drives and sounds exactly like it was meant to back in 1957. This all original time capsule is available now for sale here in Tampa, and despite the survivor history, is actually a fantastic daily driver for anyone looking for a true piece of history! Options include AM/FM Radio (Retrosound), Automatic Convertible Top, Seat Belts, Vinyl Interior, White Walls, Bias Ply Tires and a numbers matching 283 H/O V8.
