Gateway Classic Cars of St. Louis is proud to offer a beautifully restored 1964 Rambler American Convertible. 1964 marked the beginning of the third generation for the Rambler. This was a major re-design for the Rambler and extended the wheelbase as well as increasing interior space. This example comes with the economical 195.6 CID Inline 6 cylinder under the hood. The six is backed by an automatic transmission. The transmission was rebuilt about a year and a half ago and shifts smoothly. The car was painted a beautiful Diamond Blue Metalic color about 3 years ago and looks great. Complimenting the paint is freshly chromed bumpers front and rear. At the same time as the paint work, the car got a new convertible top, new tires, and new interior panels. Other new parts include: starter, regulator, and fuel pump. The convertible top is power actuated which works great as well. The car fires right up and hums along smoothly which makes it a great cruiser. This is a great way to enjoy a convertible with a nice economical drive train. You can see this 1964 Rambler American in greater detail in our St. Louis showroom or at www.GatewayClassicCars.com.
