Gateway Classic Cars of St. Louis is proud to offer a beautiful 1967 Datsun 1600 Roadster. Sometimes referred to as the Fairlady, the 1600 was an open top roadster made in the 1960s and 1970s to compete with MG, Triumph, Alfa Romeo, and Fiat. This 1967 model is an SPL311 which is powered by a 1,600cc R16 inline 4 cylinder engine. This little gem of an engine is rated at 96 hp and is more than enough to have a lot of fun in a small package. Fed by twin SU carburetors, this little 4 banger makes a pretty awesome sound. Backing the 1,600 is a four speed manual transmission which glides through the gears. This car is a dream to drive on the road and would be even more fun on a race track. The car has been nicely maintained over the years and has had the benefit of a high quality respray in its original color. Other updated items include a new top, seat covers, and tires. The red exterior shines and the trim work is in great shape all around. The snowflake style wheels are a period style addition which certainly look at home.
