For sale in our St. Louis showroom is a restored 1968 Chevrolet Camaro. It is often that the first generation of a model is considered the best. In the case of the Camaro it is certainly the most desirable and a lot would argue the most attractive. '68 offered a few changes from '67 including the addition of the Astro-Ventilation system which eliminated the need for vent windows. The mono-leaf rear spring set-up was upgraded to a multi-leaf set up for higher performance models. This particular example is an SS 350 which boasts a 295 horsepower V8 engine and in this case a 4 speed manual transmission. Both engine and transmission are numbers matching. The neat thing about this Camaro is that it has only had three owner. The second owner restored to vehicle with originality in mind. This is a radio delete car that is equipped with hub caps, seat belts, vinyl interior, and bias ply tires. One of the coolest features might be the rally gauges mounted just in front of the shifter that display battery amperage, water temperature, fuel level, and oil pressure. Outside the car is finished in a very unique Ash Gold with black SS striping. The wheels are color matched and with the original style red line tires it has a very classic look. The interior is all new black vinyl upholstery, carpet, and headliner. This is a beautifully restored Camaro with a neat history and a very unique color combination. If you're ready to stand out at car shows and row through the gears in a classic muscle car, this one is for you.
