This absolutely gorgeous Pro Street 1948 Ford F1 is for sale in our Louisville KY showroom. The F series line of trucks was introduced in 1948 as the "Bonus-Built" truck. This was due to the simple fact that the new line was just that a completely new line. No longer were there trucks based upon a car chassis it was based on a completely new design. With all new sheet metal and a much larger cab the new F1 was an instant hit. This beautiful F1 has been painted in a gorgeous white pearl with a set of blue flames that have just a hint of green as they trail off. Besides the flame job, there is also quite a bit of pin striping on both the exterior and interior of this bad to the bone F1. The fiberglass fenders and running boards are done so good that if you weren't told they were glass you would think they were steel. The cab of this cool old Ford Pickup truck has been chopped 5 ½ inches to help with the overall “slammed” look. Inside the cab, the interior is finished in nice custom gray tweed with aftermarket gauges to keep track of everything. It also has a little bit of tongue and cheek humor with such sayings as “ Built Ford Tough With Chevy Stuff” and “Built with My Children’s Inheritance” that will bring a smile to people’s faces as they ogle over this beautiful piece of rolling artwork. There is AM/FM stereo with a CD player, hidden in the glove compartment, for your listening pleasure, but I bet the engine sound of this F1 will be what most people will want to hear when driving this beast. The bed of the truck is custom to accommodate the huge wheel and tire combo that reside under the backside of this Hot Rod. There is a just a splash of wood to break up the pearl paint job. This Pro Street F1 truck is not just for show as it comes with a whole lot of “GO” under the tilt front end. With a little help from a friend, the front end can be tilted back to reveal a blown 383 stroker small block chevy engine. Handling the power of this engine is a turbo 400 automatic transmission. From there, the power hits the ground via the 9 inch ford rear end turning a huge set of meats. The polished aluminum and chrome of the engine will make you say Wow!
