This super nice 1969 Pontiac Lemans convertible clone is for sale in our Louisville KY showroom. Lemans was the model name given to Pontiacs compact-intermediate size automobiles from 1962 to 1981. Though the later years would see more towards practicality the 2nd and 3rd generations were the platforms for some of the best muscle cars of all times. The Judge was built on the Lemans platform yet even more notable and what many claim to be the one that started it all, the 1964 GTO. This 69 convertible has made itself to be a performer much like its big brother the GTO. With its custom black cherry paint and tight fitting black vinyl top you are sure to turn heads no matter where you go. The 5 spoke wheels are perfect matches which bring out the black of the top or the slick black interior if the top is down. Speaking of interior this one of kind hand sewn leather is as nice as they come. The custom center console houses the Hurst shifter in a way that makes it look as if was from the factory. The door panels have been made to house the custom stereo speakers which are loud enough to hear even if the top is down. Ofcourse looking this mean you better have something under that hood to back it up. I would say 463 cubic inches of Pontiac muscle should back it up quite nicely. Built using an eagle crank and rotating assembly topped off with a set of worked 670 heads this is one mean Pontiac motor. The recently built TH350 transmission was designed to handle all the power this monster is putting out. A performance shift kit was installed making the up shifts a lot more precise and quicker. The built rear end houses a set of Richmond 3.55 gears giving this Pontiac a good mixture of low end punch and top end cruising. The hardened Moser axles finish off this bullet proof rear end. Ofcourse all of this get up and go doesn't mean nothing if you can't stop it. With that in mind a SSBC front brake conversion kit was installed which not only brings this beauty down to a quick Holt but looks awfully good as well. When you add all of these things up this is one well rounded convertible that would put any original GTO to shame. Ofcourse you can pay twice as much and get a real GTO but would you really want half the performance?
