This 1975 Chevrolet Corvette is for sale in our Louisville KY showroom. 1975 was advertised as "A more efficient Corvette", referring to longer service interval and improved MPG's. This would be the second year for the revolutionary urethane rear bumper though now it was just a single seamless piece. The only other exterior body modification was the addition of both front and rear simulated bumper guards. This 75 however has had a little more work done to it. Starting its life as a T Top car from the factory it was fun to drive already. The owner felt that even more fun could be had with a true roadster. Having that said the job began of first bracing the rear end so when the cutting began there would be no worries of the fiberglass body collapsing on itself. Once the cutting was done he had to figure out a replacement window and found that a nice piece of quality Lexan would do the trick. When it was all done the bracing was actually left in the car and now makes the rear sturdy enough so you can actually have the top off and while strolling in the parades have a person setting on that space. With the bodywork complete a coat of primer was laid down ensuring a smooth even finish. The next process was restoring the ride quality of this born again roadster. The shocks both front and rear were replaced restoring the ride to its original quality. All tie rod bushings were replaced as well while a set of radial tires finished off that aspect. Ofcourse you need to be able to stop this one of a kind roadster so new brake rear brake lines were ran as the others were just not quite up to par. Under the hood the freshened up motor had new E3 plugs added with excel wires ensuring maximum spark delivery. Ofcourse all of that spark doesn't mean much if no gas is getting to it so the carburetor was rebuilt and tuned back to factory specs. While under the hood and halfway apart a new power steering pumps was added as well as a starter just to ensure everything would be ok. The vacuum operated headlight system was gone through and refurbished ensuring a lit path on the way home. Hopefully it won't happen but if you do get stuck in a storm the new wiper motor will ensure a clear windshield. If you have been looking for something just a little different or maybe you want a convertible but don't like the look of the soft top, this will give you the best of both. Options on this 1975 Chevrolet Corvette include; AM/FM, Cassette, T-Tops, Retractable Hardtop, Power Brakes, Power Steering, Seat Belts, Vinyl Interior, and Rally Wheels wrapped with Radial Tires.
