Others would say that the term came even earlier when the bootleggers would hop up cars to run illegal liquor during prohibition. I do believe this 29 has got every aspect of that covered and then some. The roof line gives it a very aggressive look with it being chopped a total of 3 inches it is sure to turn heads everywhere you go. If you pop the steel hood you will see a 400CID small block crammed between the custom frame rails. It's not just a regular old 400 oh no, it has been bored 0.30 over giving it a total displacement of 406 ground pounding inches. The huge cam gives it a nice lope and gives it tons of power rather low in the RPM range. The Turbo 350 transmission has been built with a shift kit giving it very firm up shifts. The 9 inch rear end makes this hotrod a force to be reckoned with given that you can confident that it will handle all the power you can throw at it. Hooking up will not be an issue especially with the huge steam rollers on the back, not to mention the look and stance they give these beast. Add to all this a custom 4 link adjustable rear suspension and this one of the best set ups money can buy not to mention pretty much bulletproof. With the drive-train complete the decision was made to go with a 2.53 gear set so the car can actually cruise down the highway. It even has a set of disc on the front to slow it down as fast it sped up. Roll the windows up and turn the AC down, cruising during those hot summer nights is sure to be comfortable in this hot rod.
