For sale in our Dallas showroom is a genuine licensed continuation 1963 Grand Sport Corvette. That's right, this vehicle is titled as a 1963 Corvette Grand Sport. In 2009 GM decided to continue the production of the 1963 Grand Sport Corvette. They issued the license to do so to one company “Duntov Motor Company”, named after the original designer of the original C2 Corvette. This car built entirely in Dontov’s Dallas manufacturing facility features a modern powerhouse, the fuel injected LS3 crate engine from GM. The engine has 430 horsepower and the car only weighs 2600 lbs, and you don't have to be a physics major to know that means it moves. Especially considering it is mated to a Tremec TKO 5 speed transmission and 3.70 rear differential gear ratio. The power is great and shifting near perfect. Road manners are good and ride is surprisingly good for a performance car, mainly because of the independent rear suspension. It is truly a joy to drive and the noise is addictive. This car does have a dual purpose, 1 being a road car that can go to cruise ins or car shows and second is a nostalgic racer. The chassis design is based off of the 1963 race car so it can take care of going around corners quickly. The features include Cloth/Vinyl interior, Radial Tires, and Aluminum Alloy Wheels, why because racecar.
