For sale in our DFW showroom is a nicely built 1965 Ford Mustang. When you think about a Mustang hot rod, this is probably what you think about. This one checks all of the boxes. First you start off with a Shelby replica front bumper and hood, then apply very red paint. Add the restomod sized wheels. Finally stuff the heart of a lion between the front fenders. Installed was a 351 Windsor engine that was built by Houston Engine and Balancing. The bored and stroked the displacement went from 351 CID to 393 CID. A scat rotating assembly now resides within the newly worked block, a new camshaft with roller lifters were installed. The cylinder heads were replaced with trick flow units that have been ported and polished and capped off with roller rockers to reduce friction and increase horsepower. The engine has been topped with an Edelbrock aluminum intake manifold and Edelbrock Performer carburetor with electric choke. To keep everything lubricated a high capacity oil pan was installed over a high volume oil pump. To keep the engine cool an oversized aluminum radiator with electric fans were put into place. The C6 3 speed automatic built by Transmission Specialties keeps the gears changing and the 2800 stall converter helps with getting it moving from a stop. Exhaust is routed through long tube headers and Flowmaster dual exhaust. The interior was kept looking original though it has been replaced. The wheels are a staggered set of KMC 5 spoke aluminum alloy with 205/55/R16 tires up front and 245/50/R16 rear sizing. The features include; AM/FM Radio, Seat Belts, Vinyl Interior, and Aluminum Wheels.
