This 1973 Plymouth Duster Pro Street is available in our Detroit MI Showroom. The Duster was introduced in late 69 as a 1970 model. Basically a rebranded Valiant the new Duster was really made up of what was laying around if you will. Maybe that’s why it has become such a great platform to build some of the most serious 1/4 mile cars in history. This 73 is no exception, from the wheelie bars sticking out the back, the graphics running down the side, or the huge ram air hood upfront, this thing was designed with the nothing but straight-line performance in mind. The motor, which has bore and stroke of 4.378 x 3.950, gives this monster a total of 476 Cubic Inches. With the compression at 12.8 to 1 it has always been ran on Sunoco 112 and puts out over 700 Horse. Ofcourse with all this power you are going to need a strong transmission and what's better than 727. Well ofcourse a built 727 with a reverse manual valve body after all this is a true pro street 1/4 mile car. The turbo action Trans brake was the last piece making this one of the best set ups I have seen. The 8 3/4 rear end was the next thing to be gutted and rebuilt. Using strange 35 spline rear axles and Richmond Pro 4.88 gears the foundation to a killer rear end was started. Finished off with a Richmond spool and all held together in a 742 case with pro caps the set up is no other way to say it bullet proof. Ofcourse none of this matters if you can't get any of the power to the pavement. Outback this is taken car of through the classic 4 link with ladder bars has been combined with adjustable coilovers getting the huge 31 x 14.5 Mickey's hooking up nicely. Upfront a set of Lakewood race shocks, torsion bars, and adjustable control arms give you ability to really dial it in. Ofcourse if you're going to go 130+ MPH in the quarter you better be safe doing it. Having that said a complete roll cage was installed making the car not only stronger but much more rigid. With a set of custom racing seats installed with 5 point harnesses for not only you but your passenger as well. Yes you heard that right, passenger, because how much fun would it be to take the neighborhood kids, or better yet the wife, around the block in this thing. That has to be worth the cost of the car all by itself. Options on this 1973 Pro Street Duster Include; GPS, Seat Belts, Racing Wheels with Performance Tires.
