For sale in our Chicago showroom is a very solid 1976 Chrysler Cordoba. This is a car that you hardly see on the road any longer. This was a personal luxury vehicle designed by Chrysler and was the first luxury vehicle they created that was not full size. One look at this car and you are transported back to 1970's luxury including a 1/2 vinyl top, manually operated sunroof, woodgrain interior accents, digital in-dash clock and working AM/FM radio. The bright yellow paint really shines nicely and looks to have been restored several years ago. Now for a little history on some interesting marketing that Chrysler did back in the 1970's! After hiring actor Ricardo Montalban to introduce the luxury cars of Chrysler the advertising agency Bozell came up with the name Corinthian leather because it sounded luxurious when Mr. Montalban said it. Nobody seemed to care and the name "Corinthian Leather" is still well known to be associated with the Chrysler Cordoba which is also fun to say. Under the long hood is a very smooth running 360 Cubic Inch V8 that runs well and has a smooth shifting automatic transmission that easily gets the car up to highway speed. Options include power windows, power locks, power steering, power brakes, fender mounted turn indicators, Cordoba coin medallion hood ornament and manual sunroof with chrome hand crank. This car is a comfortable cruiser and is sure to turn some heads and bring back memories. Located in our Chicago showroom this 1976 Chrysler Cordoba can be seen including an HD video and pictures at www.gatewayclassiccars.com. For additional information please call (708) 444-4488 or email
