For sale in our Chicago showroom is this stunning 1971 Chevrolet Nova. Most Novas of this year ended up with a measly 250 CID inline 6, although some models had a 307 CID V8, and the SS model sported a respectable 350 CID V8. This Nova packs a powerful 454 CID V8 making well over 400 horsepower. The driver is responsible for selecting the gears in the Hurst-shifted Borg-Warner Super T-10 manual transmission. Power is then dispensed via a modified Ford 9” rear axle into a pair of Radial T/A tires. To say that this Nova can move would be an understatement. The Metallic Hugger Orange paint would be beautiful by itself, but it is outright stunning with the addition of the airbrushed flames burning up the hood. The Rally stripe down the side pays homage to the trim level of the year by the same name and keeps things interesting from all angles. The interior has been left mostly as the factory put it together, with the exception of the flame motif and Metallic Hugger Orange paint on parts of the dash, and a massive Auto Meter tachometer letting you know when to rip the Hurst shifter into the next gear. The Gilmer belt has a fantastic whine as you are winding through the power band on this orange rocket ship. This paint will pop in the sunlight, and this clutch loves to be popped at the drag strip. Very rarely does a car come along with all the right sounds, performance, and looks. Options include: AM/FM/CD, Custom Wheels, Power Steering, Radial Tires, Seat Belts, and Vinyl Interior.
