For sale in our Chicago showroom is a nice stock 1973 Camaro Z-28. This medium orange Camaro is part of the second generation of this iconic American nameplate that were known for beautiful and modern styling and helped keep Chevrolet thriving in the muscle car market. This particular vehicle shows to be mostly original and is not just a show piece but also a fantastic driver. Under the hood you will find a brand new 355 Cubic Inch V8 with 4-Bolt Mains, forged rods, Speed Pro pistons, steel crank, Monoso oil pump, hydraulic roller cam and roller lifters. This engine is fed via a 750 cfb Quick Fuel carburetor with electric choke into an Edelbrock Air Gap intake. All that power is transferred to the street with a M-22 Rock Crusher 4-speed transmission and a new clutch. Ceramic-coated headers help to round out the whole package. The interior appears original and has a nice patina all around but is remarkably well-preserved. The cue-ball shifter and vintage Clarion AM/FM Cassette player with Hi-Fi really takes you back in time. The exterior of this Z28 looks fantastic with solid sheet metal and the scarce medium orange paint. The black accent stripe compliments the orange paint and with a minimal amount of chrome and smooth lines this car looks sporty and sophisticated from any angle but looks best as you get up to speed shifting through those 4-speeds on the open road. Located in our Chicago showroom, this classic 1973 Chevrolet Camaro Z-28 can be seen including an HD video and pictures at www.gatewayclassiccars.com.
