Up for sale we have a 1969 Pontiac Firebird Convertible Trans Am
Clone. This car was restored to look and drive like a Trans Am. It
has the correct stripes, rear wing, and the glass hood with the
tach. In the paragraphs to follow we will give a brief description
of the exterior, interior, and driveline of the Pontiac, but first
we would like to tell you a little about us.
Smoky Mountain Traders is a classic car dealer in east Tennessee.
We are family owned, operated, and own our entire inventory, no
consignments, and only deal in muscle cars and vintage auto. You
can count on us to have 70 to 80 cars at all times. We don't have a
big show room that our customers would otherwise pay for. So,

We will start off with the exterior of the Trans AM clone. When you
look down the sides you will see the panels are straight with good
fit. The doors and trunk also have a good fit. To complete the T/A
look it has the glass hood with the hood mounted tach that does
work. Out back it has the wing as well. The bumpers all look good
along with the rest of the chrome. As for the glass, it all looks
good along with the back window in the convertible top. When this
car was restored it was painted in the Cameo Ivory finish with
Tyrol Blue tail panel and stripes. The paint has a slick finish
with a deep rich shine that's accented by the Blue Convertible Top.
To finish off the exterior it's sitting on a set of 15" Rallys with
BF Goodrich White Letter tires.
Next, we will look at the interior of the Convertible. On the
inside It's all done in blue like a Trans AM would have been. It
has the correct buckets, console and shifter. This TA has Power
Windows and a Power Top. When you look at the dash it looks correct
with a 160 MPH Speedo. The Vintage AC controls are in the correct
spot in the dash. Also, it has an AM FM Radio along with the wood
wheel. In the trunk, it has the cocktail shakers and a trunk
mat.
Finally, we will look at the driveline of the Pontiac. Under the
hood it's been detailed with the firewall being slicked down and
painted body color. A new engine wiring harness was installed along
with a new dash harness. The engine is a 400 Pontiac V8 that's been
built with an aftermarket cam and an aluminum intake with a Holley
Carb. The valve covers and breather are chrome. Headers were
installed along with dual exhaust. The trans is a Four Speed mated
to the 10 Bolt Posi Rear End. To keep it cool it has an Aluminum
radiator. Also, it comes with Power steering, Power Disc Brakes,
and Vintage A/C. When you look under this Fire Bird the floors look
good and a set of frame connectors have been added.
