European Collectibles is pleased to offer this very nice 1969 Porsche 912. The COA indicates that production of this car, chassis 129023414, was completed on 7/19/69 and was originally finished with exterior paint code, 6809 (Tangerine) and black leatherette interior. The engine (#4096666) and transmission (#5193531) installed when new remain in the car today. Optional equipment included 5-speed transmission, ventilated Chrome Wheels (5 1/2 x 15), ignition lock, bumperettes (front and rear) tinted windshield, antenna - left, loudspeaker in dashboard and Semperit tires (165VR15). The car was shipped to USA where it was sold by Breen Volkswagen of Maywood, Illinois. The first owner, Thomas Hartz, took delivery on 9/9/1969, and shortly thereafter had the car protected from rust via Ziebart. Three longterm owners have used the car sparingly (just 39,000 miles) and only in summer months, which accounts for the excellent body panel fit and tight driving manners. The exterior has been repainted once in 1990 and still shows very well. In an effort to retain originality, only the exterior of the car was repainted. The paint in the door jambs, trunk and engine bay are original. To our knowledge, the interior is completely original too. The seats are in very good condition, the carpets, door panels and headliner are excellent. The dash has one small crack by the speaker grill. Once purchased by European Collectibles we performed safety and road tests. While in our shop we installed a new windshield, replaced the original brake lines and adjusted the clutch. New Pirelli P600 tires were installed too (185/70R15). This highly original 912 is complete with its original owner's manual, tool kit and warranty book. A binder of receipts that dates back to new and proves the mileage to be accurate is currently IN HAND. Please call 949-548-7900 for more information on this low-mileage Porsche.
