PRICED BELOW RESTORATION COSTS!
1979 Fiat 124 Spider 2000 Convertible, a gorgeous low mileage, 37 year old classic driver. Selling due to family health costs.
1979 was the first year of the 2000 engine and the last year it was carbureted. The benefit of this engine is that it’s the largest there was in the Spider lineup. Many say that 1979 was the best of all the years, and one of the most reliable. And this car is a RARE automatic version.
The car was bought and kept in garage by the original owner through 2015 by an elderly couple in Georgia up until I brought it to Florida last year. Runs good with low mileage since moving to the sunshine state.
My mechanic in Sarasota FL, who performed a good bit of restoration work on this car, will tell you how great a car this is---and he exclusively works on classic cars. Would be happy to put you in contact with him.

The dash has been recovered, radio is missing, and the wood dash and center console are in good condition, and all the gauges work. The top does not have any rips and the rear window has some hazing. The car runs well, starts, idles, accelerates like it should. This model is the last of the carbureted versions, allowing real classic car enthusiasts more fun under the hood. It is a great car to just drive in top down weather. The entire underneath of the car is solid, there is no rust anywhere on the car.
This is a sharp looking, solid classic, certainly not a show car, and priced accordingly. Now that Fiat has released the new Spider in 2016, you should see the classics get some attention on the collector market. The car is registered in FL as a classic and I have a clean title.
