Just out of a private collection, this southern car features a lazar straight body highly finished in gloss black over fawn beige interior. The car was treated to a complete cosmetic and mechanical restoration completed in 2010. The original 318 was replaced with a professionally prepared 440 big block fortified with Purple-Shaft cam, roller rockers, solid lifters, timing chain, high volume Melling oil pump with 7 quart pan. Other highlights include Holly 750 CFM Carb, 373 83/4 sure-grip axle, Richmond gears, Sanderson ceramic headers and newly re-cored HD radiator. The suspension is all new with added leaf in rear and new shocks. The fuel tank, fuel lines and brake lines are all new. The car features power steering and power brakes with front disc conversion. The car also features new carpet and a new windshield.
The paint is excellent as is the chrome and bright-work. This car has stage presence and is a complete blast to drive and remains completely behaved in all driving situations. It runs cool in traffic, runs comfortably at full highway speeds, and perform impressively at any street drag situation.
