Motorcar Studio is pleased to offer this 1935 Hillman Minx a very
attractive driver in two-tone gold and black. Panels are straight
with good gaps; bumpers grille trim and glass are in very good
condition; brand new Firestone whitewall tires on wire wheels.
Interior shows well with door panels carpet headliner and seat
upholstery all in nice shape. Fold-out windshield with working
electric wipers; all lights also work properly. Typical surface
rust and grime underneath but zero known structural rust.The 1185
cc (1.2 liter) four-cylinder engine makes a whopping 30 horsepower;
it starts easily and runs well and thanks to the four-speed manual
transmission you can actually drive it around town. The 1935 Minx
was the first mass-produced car to feature a fully-synchronized
transmission with synchromesh in all forward gears. Clutch gearbox
steering and brakes all feel as they should.We believe this to be
the only pre-war Hillman currently for sale in the U.S. For more
