Being offered is a beautiful 1966 Impala SS convertible with its Protecto Plate, owner’s manual and maintenance books. This vehicle has just received a frame off restoration to a high standard with receipts. It is equipped a freshly rebuilt NOM 396 engine with upgraded HEI ignition, aluminum radiator and headers. Power steering, power brakes and automatic transmission make it ideal for cruising. Details
This Impala is finished with new Lemonwood yellow paint, base coat/clear coat (original color, code Y). Paint quality is great; it shines like glass with no swirl marks, rock chips, etc. Quarter panels, doors and fenders appear to be original and are all super straight and panel fit is excellent. The doors are rust free and show all the original factory seams….no bondo here. Same with the rockers, fenders and floors. The bumpers, grill, emblems and are all new. Convertible top is new with glass back window ..........................................
Drive line consists of a rebuilt NOM 396, period correct 67 block along with an automatic transmission. Everything under the hood is new…..HEI distributor, aluminum radiator, ceramic coated headers, wiring harnesses, new alternator, new battery, 4 Holley barrel carburetor with electric choke, belts, hoses, etc, etc, all complete this highly detailed engine bay ..........................................
The interior is all new; wood sport steering wheel, carpets, door panels & handles, seat covers, tissue dispenser, floor mats, etc. The seat belts are original and look new as does the original Delco radio (non working). Equipped with bucket seats (trim code 813), tilt wheel, tissue holder, and its original console gauge cluster to monitor engine performance. The factory floor console has been restored and looks like new ............................................
The vehicle is equipped with a new stainless steel Pypes exhaust system and sounds great. Underneath, the frame and undercarriage on this car are immaculate. This SS Impala is also equipped with new shocks in the front & rear, panhard and front sway bar, new power brakes w/new lines, and all new suspension parts (springs, bushings, etc). A new gas tank and gas lines were also installed .........................................
The car retains its factory appearance with steel rims with hub cabs and new white wall tires. Inside the trunk is the spare tire along with the bumper jack, base and handle. The trunk is detailed and presents as factory stock appearance. It retains its original rust free trunk floor ..............................................
