Vehicle Description
This pro-built pro-touring 1970 Ford Mustang Boss 302 fastback has
every trick you could want wrapped in an iconic color. Beneath the
full Boss appearance packs serious firepower in the form of
performance 302, five-speed manual, comfortable A/C interior, and a
reworked suspension that keeps it all tight with some pretty
serious hardware.
The name Grabber Orange is appropriate because it snatches your
attention and doesn't let go. It's a legendary Ford color that
really makes enthusiasts pay attention. But more than iconic, the
color means you can really distinguish the black features like the
hood stripe, hood scoop, Boss-inspired c-stripe down the sides,
blacked-out rear, and the tall rear spoiler. No one will mistake
this one for any 'ol Mustang coming down the road thanks to nice
classic aggressive touches like the air dam and Boss 302 badging,
but there's also something more to this fastback. Those wheel wells
are filled with 18-inch alloys borrowed from a late-model GT500.
It's a great hint at all the modern updates within this pro-touring
Mustang.
The moment you open the door, this car tells you its something
special. This can be subtle like how the bucket seats are updated
from a '93 coupe to offer better bolstering for all day comfort. Or
the individual spirit can be a little bolder like how the headrests
have custom stitching. In fact, the whole interior is a great blend
of vintage and new. It starts when you slip behind the updated
three-spoke Mustang steering wheel. The classic full gauge panel
provides all the info you could want, except for a tach, because
this one has an iconic hood-mounted unit. Wood paneling on the dual
cowls of the dash, center console, and even around the cool
original-style AM/FM radio give this a very vintage feeling. But
the upgrades you'll love are there, too. For example, there's
modern R134a air conditioning keeping you cool all year long, and
have you counted the gears on the stick shift yet?
You can tell a small fortune was spent under the hood just simply
because we're pretty sure there's nothing left to polish in the
engine bay. But when you look beyond the show-worthy shine, you
will find some serious substance. This 302 cubic-inch V8 has been
upgraded with go-fast goodies like dual ram air Spectre feeding a
Holley four-barrel carburetor, a performance intake, Accel wiring,
and headers that feed a rumbling H-pipe dual exhaust. That's why
there's an aluminum radiator with multiple electric fans. So you
can have the A/C running in urban traffic, and this V8 stays as
cool as you. The upgraded T5 five-speed manual transmission
w/overdrive keeps you one downshift away to go from comfortable
highway cruiser to performance machine. The upgraded A-arm front
suspension, power steering, four-wheel disc brakes, and the modern
Goodyear Eagle RS-A tires means this vintage Mustang can literally
run circles around much younger machine.
