Take a look at this BEAUTIFUL !! - RARE !! - 1960 Nash Metropolitan Coupe !! You can now own a RARE Classic Metropolitan that is getting hard to find !! Do not let this one get away ! This would look great in your garage AND I would venture to say that you would be the only one in town that has one !! It say RARE as only 13,103 Metro's were imported into the U.S. in 1960. This was the first time an American-designed car, to be marketed in North America, had been entirely built in Europe. It is also widely believed that less than 10% of all Metropolitans ever built are still on the roads today. We recently purchased this Metro from the previous owners and as you can clearly see in the pictures and video this was their pride and joy for sure !! Any Metropolitan enthusiast would be pleased to own this BEAUTY. The Metropolitan was a stunning body style in 1960 and still is some 56 years later !! It still retains its correctly mounted - FACTORY ORIGINAL - firewall mounted Nash data and VIN plates which are shown in a picture below. I drove this BEAUTY for several days as my every-day driver to and from the office and running errands as needed and I can assure you this car runs and drives well. At the heart of this little Metro Coupe is what appears to be the STRONG - ORIGINAL - 1500 CC Austin Inline Four cylinder motor that is running well indeed. The motor also sports the ORIGINAL Intake manifold, ORIGINAL exhaust manifolds, ORIGINAL valve cover, ORIGINAL "Oil Bath" air cleaner and the ORIGINAL Zenith carburetor, etc. !! The motor is backed by a - SMOOTH - "Three-On-The-Tree" - Three speed manual transmission which also functions well. Sounds good too with the factory style exhaust system with chrome tip that is brand new from the exhaust manifolds back !! The AWESOME !! - Code "P914/P912" - Frost White and Berkshire Green (Looks Turqoise to me but the factory called it Berkshire Green) exterior finish on this BEAUTY is EYE POPPING BEAUTIFUL !! showing several small chips and several imperfections but still looks GREAT as you can clearly see in the video and 100 ADDITIONAL PICTURES !! The BEAUTIFUL - Matching - Emerald Green Brocade Cloth and Frost White Vinyl Metropolitan interior is in NICE condition including a VERY NICE Emerald Green Brocade Cloth and Frost White Vinyl front seat, NICE Black carpeting, Good ORIGINAL Metropolitan steering wheel, NICE Matching Emerald Green Brocade Cloth and Frost White Vinyl door panels, NICE Frost White Vinyl headliner, VERY NICE Emerald Green Brocade Cloth and Frost White Vinyl rear seat, NICE ORIGINAL Factory gauge cluster, NICE ORIGINAL Frost White Vinyl sun visors and a NICE Black dash. This Little Metropolitan comes nicely equipped including factory front wing windows, original chrome side view exterior mirror, good heater and defroster, factory manual choke, factory power wipers, original AM radio which is no longer working, original rear view mirror, front and rear turn signal indicators and a factory rear mounted spare tire.
The CLEAN trunk is equipped with a NICE factory style black carpet liner and the ORIGINAL jack and lug wrench. All of the ORIGINAL lights and lenses are clear, bright, UN CRACKED and BEAUTIFUL !! Check out the AWESOME FACTORY ORIGINAL steel wheels with correct Metropolitan chrome wheel covers and Good whitewall steel belted radial tires, boy does this combination look outstanding on this BEAUTY and really retains that clean "Factory Original" look !! All of the ORIGINAL chrome and stainless steel exterior body trim and moldings are in VERY NICE condition including VERY NICE ORIGINAL Chrome front and rear bumpers, VERY NICE ORIGINAL Chrome front and rear bumper guards, NICE ORIGINAL Badging and VERY NICE ORIGINAL Front grill and chrome headlight surrounds !!
