For Sale: 1959 DeSoto ADVENTURER 2DRHT in Phoenix, Arizona

Vehicle Description

Very rare 1959 DeSoto Adventurer 2drht. Only 602 two door hardtops and 97 convertibles were made in 1959! 1959 was the last year for the real Adventurer, after 1959 the Adventurer was just a cosmetic upgrade. 350 hp 383 engine, push button Torqueflite trans, swivel seats, tinted glass, Power Windows etc. We bought the car disassembled and with all parts inside the car and we had the body media blasted down to bare metal, we primered it using etching primer and 2 coats of regular primer. The body is very good, only rust is in the rocker panels, wheel openings in the rear, trunk floor etc. Excellent doors, fenders, inside floors are 98% rust free. We did service the power windows when re-installing them and they work great. The Adventurer still has the original 383 but the dual 4 bbl's are not with the car, it runs on a single 4 bbl carb. The engine runs very good and we just replaced everything in the brake system, all 6 wheel cylinders, master cylinder, all hoses, all shoes and we even had the original brake drums cut and the shoes fitted to the drums. The interior is there but as it is almost 60 years old it needs to be redone, the left door panel is missing. We don't have time to restore this beautiful car so we're selling it as is. Call or email for more info. WE SELL AND SHIP WORLDWIDE.
