New to our Fairfield showroom is this simply amazing, race-ready 1965 Chevrolet Corvette Sting Ray 2 Door Convertible with black/red exterior paint and a red interior. It features a HSMA legal 327 cid V-8 engine with a Callies crankshaft and rods, Arias points, a Holly carburetor, Stahl headers and exhaust pipes, Dutov shocks and a M-23 Muncie 4-Speed Transmission with Hurst Competition Plus shifter. This amazing classic muscle car is in fantastic shape as well and it’s ready to be Vintage Raced right away.SCCA Competition Log Number- 0103H013
The current owner of this 1965 Chevrolet Corvette Sting Ray Roadster informs us that it was converted into a race car decades ago and has been running in the vintage race class for several years. The engine has been completely overhauled and rebuilt from the ground up about three races back, which means it only has about 100 track miles on it. We have the engine build receipts. This Corvette is one of the elite few race cars that has participated in and is still eligible for the world famous Monterey Historics Race held at Laguna Seca Raceway. This Corvette is for racing purposes only and is not intended or legal for street driving. It does however have a California Ownership Title plus its racing Logbooks with it.
In terms of its present condition, this 1965 Chevrolet Corvette Sting Ray Roadster is in excellent mechanical shape and tuned to get every last ounce of performance out of the 327 motor. The paint and the interior do show some signs of wear but this beauty still shines nicely, and it really doesn’t need a thing other than a Competition License to race today .
