Vehicle Description
For sale at Gateway Classic Cars in our St. Louis showroom is a 1965 Chevrolet Chevy II Nova. Being a true hardtop coupe with no B pillar is what separates this from the standard Chevy II. Later on the Nova would replace the Chevy II name all together. This 1965 Nova is painted White over a classic red vinyl/cloth interior and mostly sports an original interior with exception to the aftermarket temperature gauge and an FM stereo conversion. Powering this little Nova is a mild 327 cubic inch V8 sporting an aluminum intake manifold and an aluminum radiator. Receiving the power and transmitting it to the rear wheels is a Power Glide 2 speed automatic transmission and a 10 bolt rear end. The Nova was intended to be a minimalist car and thus is lightweight making it great for destroying the more common muscle car that outweighed the Nova by a good 1,000 pounds. Race teams say that reducing a car's weight is free horsepower. This 1965 Chevrolet Nova has some of the original paperwork from when it was originally purchased and also includes the Protect-O-Plate.
