For Sale: 1978 Datsun 280Z "Black Pearl" in Beverly, Massachusetts

1978 Datsun 280Z "Black Pearl" edition which was a special sports-appearance package built for 1978 only. This was the first year a black Z-car was available.

The "Black Pearl" edition factory sports-appearance package included exterior black metallic paint, red & silver stripes, twin side mirrors and a rear hatch louver. It is estimated that no more than 1500 of these cars were produced for the American market.

This 1978 Datsun 280Z "Black Pearl" edition is believed to be just a two owner car with only 48,967 miles. Unfortunately, the rear louver is missing and many years ago this car was repainted in solid black paint of only average quality.

After many years of being dormant this Z was brought back to life with a full service including new fuel injectors, fuel pump, reconditioned gas tank and new radiator.

The interior appears to be completely stock and is in very good condition, the carpets are faded but do not have any excessive wear.

Most importantly the underside of this Z car is in fantastic original condition.

This Datsun is ready for the next owner to get it on the road and put some miles on it and enjoy this very special Z.
